January 11 – Photo Journalism – Truth or Deception? – Do photos convince us of the truth? What are the ethics of photo journalism so that truth will win out? George Smith will lead our discussion.

January 25 — This week is Green Sunday for HAUUS– Rachel Treichler, noted local attorney and environmental activist joins us to review what is happening with efforts to protect our environment. Bring your questions for this open discussion.

February 8— Craig Braack, Allegany County Historian is our guest speaker this Sunday. Join us for his program entitled “Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Fires,” Central and Western New York State was a hot bed for religious movements in the early and mid-1800s. This program covers 5-7 religious movements that had tremendous influence on our Nation and our area.

February 22— In Search of the Tiffany Window – Our guest speaker is Steve Cotton, Canisteo’s Historian. Steve will share with us his search for the Tiffany window once hanging at the Woodbury Universalist Church of Hornell and the rich and tragic history surrounding it. This church stood at the corner of Genesee and Church Street until the 1980s.
