March 11 –— A Critical Reading of Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver, A Unitarian Universalist Perspective, based on essays by David G. Markham. It is not necessary that you read the book but you may consider reading or rereading it after the program. Sharon Saker will facilitate our discussion. Postponed from an earlier date.
March 25 – How are We Affected by Institutional Racism? – We would think that as a liberal association of people we would be immune from its insidious nature. Stephanie Radcliff and George Smith will explore what happened to the UUA 2 years ago and how we ourselves need to be aware of its seeming intractability.
April 8 – HAUUS Annual Meeting. Our annual meeting will include the election of officers, review of the past year and future planning. Your input is very important. A dish to pass luncheon will follow the meeting. Along with your dish to pass, please bring your own table service and beverage. There are limited electrical outlets for crock pots.
April 22 – TBD – At this writing there is a couple possibilities for this program which include a speaker talking to the 2nd Amendment or reading and discussion of one of Homer Wilken’s talks which are currently becoming available on the internet.
